With a 2.0-litre turbo engine pulling the strings, the Lexus RC200t has an estimated sprint time of 6.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 sec. From 0 to 200 km/h, the data suggests a time of 30.1 seconds. That puts it in reasonable stead compared with other names. It is by no means the fastest rear-wheel-drive coupe going around, but it is still responsive and nimble. If you want something with more thrills, you might be best to look at the RC350, or better yet, something from the Audi, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz line-ups.
The Lexus RC200t was superseded following model year 2018. Sadly, the RC coupe and CT hybrid hatchback were also discontinued from November, 2021, which was in response to more rigorous design safety standards being introduced. That means the LC range is the remaining choice of coupe across the Lexus stable, with the premium brand pivoting towards an expanded range of SUVs over recent years.
The real difference here boils down to power. The RC200t relies on a four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo motor, while the RC350 ramps things up a bit with a gutsy and polished 3.5-litre V6 engine that can deliver 233kW of power and 380Nm of torque. That translates into the RC350 being a more slick car on the track, with plenty of bravado to boost. The RC350 can sprint from 0-100 km/h in about 1.7 seconds less than the RC200t, although the latter is no slouch. Other than that, a few extra perks here and there make for modest differences, but again, it's all about power here.
Alfa Romeo has been hard at work refining the Giulia. The engineers in Turin have updated the infotainment, interior trim, and driver assists to make its beautiful sports sedan a better rival for its German foes – and they’ve done a pretty good job of it. But the more mundane, mainstream Giulia isn’t what the red-blooded Alfisti want to know about. They want...
