Infiniti Q60
When you decide a sedan is not quite fit for the task of cruising those windy country roads, then a sporty coupe like the Infiniti Q60 is your next best bet. Of course, all the best bits of the sedan are retained, in this instance from the Infiniti Q50, but there are added touches inside and out. Most notable, the coupe looks bold and powerful, which is some accomplishment when you consider the aggressive looks of its sibling. In 2019 there are just two variants in the line-up, a 4-cylinder 2L turbo version called the 2.0T Pure, and a 3L twin-turbo V6 called the 3.0T Red Sport. Both options include autonomous emergency braking and forward-collision warning, however it’s the higher-spec variant that comes with other safety additions like lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alerts. With nearly twice as much power, the 3.0T Red Sport is far more zealous and domineering on the road, although the alternative will bring you a more fuel-efficient motor and relaxing ride. As two completely different propositions, you really can’t go wrong with either option from the Infiniti Q60 range, especially with its superior cabin design and functionality compared to the Q30 and Q50. Make every moment driving a memorable one.

The Infiniti Q60 is very pretty, and there's lots of tech hiding under the skin, but it harbours a few unwelcome surprises.

From little things... Infiniti Cars Australia is still in its infancy. It’s been five years since the brand returned to these shores, arriving to compete against long-established British, German and Japanese rivals (think Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz). Add to this a cohort of conservative buyers with deep pockets who rarely stray from the safet...

Infinitis are a bit like politicians. Not everybody likes them, a lot of people are not quite sure what they're supposed to stand for and, even if you're aware they exist, you don't see one in the flesh very often. The early wave of Infinitis (well, not so "wave" as dribble) were also unkindly mocked for their unusual, Americanised looks, particularly the Bu...

The Infiniti Q60 Red Sport is a perfect case study in that design alone doesn’t sell a car. Here we have an undoubtedly gorgeous vehicle in every regard, let down by its twitchy driving dynamics, sub-par infotainment system, and poorly executed cabin features. We want to love the Q60 Red Sport, we really do. We love underdogs here at CarAdvice, and Infiniti...

"Same taste, different bottle,” read the tomato sauce label. Have we reached peak tomato sauce, where the only improvements that can be made are to the bottle it comes in? Maybe. Japanese upstarts Lexus and Infiniti reckon it’s the same when it comes to cars. Both think that a cheaper thing down the aisle can be just as good, if not better. With eyes now fix...
