We would consider the Audi A5 as one of the most versatile and well-rounded luxury cars on the market, let alone in the small car segment. There is a great amount of customisation in the numerous configurations available, which means it has appeal to an incredibly broad base of new car buyers. Whether it be the three body types, including hatch, coupe and convertible, or the diversity of engine options, including performance-tweaked units, the A5 offers so much, and that is before you consider how much equipment and amenity comes as standard across the range.
You can find the Audi A5 selling from as little as $71,900 before on-road costs, and then from there the top-spec model will set you back somewhere in the vicinity of $94,600 plus on-road costs. The answer to this will really depend on what outcome you're looking for. The A5 trumps its baby brother in terms of styling, features and the better driving experience, with the dynamics on road faring better than the more-affordable A4. However, that right there is one of the drawcards to the A4, as its lower price tag is more accessible to many new car buyers, while still offering a wealth of tech and safety inclusions, plus excellent comfort. You can't go wrong with either option, just make sure you know what you're in the market for.
