You bet it is! With a light-weight carbon-fibre tub as the base for this lovely unit, it came in around the 1,000kg mark, making it profoundly nimble and agile on the road. Combine that with an excellent 1.7-litre turbo motor and you have one delightful car that can reach a top speed of 258km/h, and go from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. That compares particularly well against a host of other names that cost nearly twice as much!
The Alfa Romeo 4C is built in Italy, however, there is one important distinction this time around! This particular model is actually built by Maserati, which also happens to be part of the Fiat Group, and is produced at its factor in Modena. Production for the 4C first kicked off in 2013, although it has since come to the end of the line.
Sadly, after a brief but eventful little period where the Alfa Romeo 4C was a centrepiece for the company, the Italian auto-maker has decided to cease production of this lovely coupe. An audacious vehicle that made an impact in every way possible, the 4C will be missed by its group of core enthusiasts after posting lacklustre sales.
