A premium package has never looked quite as good or appealing as that of the Audi Q5, a tremendous car that would make a great addition to any family household. It offers comfort, luxury and performance, plus all the other things you'll need in a dedicated SUV that can make your life a whole lot easier. That is the perfect recipe for any car, let alone one that competes in the hotly contested SUV segment, so yes, the Audi Q5 is certainly worth buying if your budget permits.
Not the first car to suffer from this issue, but a batch of Audi Q5s from between 2011 to 2014 have shown up over time as prone to excessive oil consumption. This issue has effectively disappeared in more recent models, whereas the problems reported today are more to do with minor electrical gremlins that are not as serious. We should point out that all cars have problems from time to time, and from generation to generation, don't let that put you off buying a certain car, just do your research into which badge years are affected.
As an upmarket brand, all Audi vehicles are on the upper-end of the spectrum when it comes to maintenance costs, and that includes the Q5. The best thing you can do is to stay on top of maintenance early so any potential problems are identified and addressed as soon as possible. Audi also offers capped-price servicing in the form of a five-year, 75,000km plan, and for the Q5 this will set you back a lump sum of $2,720 for the petrol variants, or $3,160 for the diesel variants.
