Audi Q3
In SUV and sportback guise, the 2021 Audi Q3 is a sign of something special. It is a podium-placer when it comes to sales for the brand down under, with Australians flocking to this versatile and highly practical unit as a trusty and dedicated family car. The interior of the Q3 is fitted out delightfully, boasting ample space, modern touches, and plenty of equipment. On top of that, it’s also rather flexible in terms of configuration, something that has become increasingly important to households across the country. So whether you need those rear seats for the children, or extra boot space for that weekend getaway, you are not compromising any sense of luxury here. In fact, quite the contrary. The 35 TFSI produces a modest 110kW and 250Nm, however, the AWD 40 TFSI is more willing, offering output of up to 132kW and 320Nm. Sportback styling looks outstanding, although with some compromise for rear headspace. But if that’s an issue, the SUV guise is comparable in every other way. For an extra edge, the RS Q3 goes full throttle, decked in sports styling, premium cabin materials, adaptive sports suspension and variable-ratio steering, plus a thunderous 2.5-litre 300kW V5 turbo. How does a compact SUV get better than this? That’s right, you’re seeing the pinnacle of excellence right here.

The Q3 SUV has remained both a successful and lucrative product for Audi in Australia. It claims that the first-generation Q3 was the most successful small premium SUV in our market, with more finding homes than the alternatives from both BMW and Mercedes-Benz. That gives the newly debuting second-generation car a big void to fill. It was initially launched...

The 2020 Audi Q3 35 TFSI hits the Australian market eight years into the badge’s history. And this second-generation brings with it updates in the form of better tech, savvy styling and a mature design that sees it align better with Audi’s eight-strong SUV line-up. The Audi Q3 35 TFSI’s compact SUV body-style is a case of not too big, not too small. As such...

The Audi Q3 has been revamped for 2020, and it’s full of new technology and a sleek exterior that Audi hopes will catapult it to the top of the category. It’s a small SUV so if there are five or less in your family, this size car will work for you, or it will fit four adults nicely.   I test drove the Audi Q3 40 TFSI quattro which is in the middle of the ran...

There is no shortage of options for buyers in the world of small- to mid-sized SUVs, those compact crossover vehicles straddling the line between everyday urban duties with rugged utility looks. It’s a crowded market, one where the combatants need to stand out if they are to trouble the sales charts. Audi’s Q3 has been one of the German brand’s most popular...

How much difference does a bit of design flair make? Audi’s new coupe-SUV Q3 Sportback is a compelling case viewed in the company of its more conventional wagon sibling. More than just a tapered roofline, the Sportback is a longer, lower and wider twin, but it’s really the fresh lines, curves and proportions that make for striking style transformation.  In e...

It’s no secret that Audi is on a style tear at the moment, intent on making stylish coupe versions of all of its SUVs. The latest in a long line of Audi SUVs to get the treatment is the Q3 Sportback. It’s one of the more affordable ways to get into a stylish coupe SUV, but does it compromise on the things that make SUVs great?  People typically bemoan the co...
