If the latest RS3 seems out of reach for your budget, you can always look at the more affordable Audi S3 if you don't mind forgoing some of the performance attributes of the R Series.
The four-cylinder turbo motor powering the Audi S3 might be a gun in its own right, however, when compared with the five-cylinder RS3, which boasts even more horsepower, it falls quite a bit short of its performance-oriented sibling. Of course, you do pay a premium for this right, and the RS3 also offers a greater level of amenity, more premium touches and a superior ride dynamic.
