Unofficially, the Alpina B7 fits the role as the M7 within the BMW range. More recently, the M760Li effectively adopted the role of being the closest connection to the M7, albeit even this model is technically still part of the 7 Series range, and not an M Series vehicle. Nonetheless, with a monstrous 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, the performance of the M760Li certainly carried the weight of its M designation, and with the sheer extravagance of a 7 Series limo. Watch this space though, a genuine M7 might one day be a possibility.
Prices for the BMW M760Li have been pegged in at $383,900 plus on-road costs, such as registration, stamp duty and dealer delivery charges. This vehicle is in limited supply, and not one you're likely to find on local roads. However, don't let that stop you checking out this ultra-rare, stylish and high-performing unit, if you can afford it!
BMW uses the 'Li' acronym to denote the cars in its line-up that are long wheelbase sedans. More specifically, the abbreviation stands for 'Long Injected', with the L referencing the longer wheelbase, and the i referring to the fuel-injected nature of the car - that is, it is a petrol model. Models from within the 7 Series, including the 740Li and the M760Li are among those carrying the Li reference, which offer additional legroom in the rear of the cabin.
