Find out the BMW X4 2018 price today!
For a luxury SUV packing power, precision and flair, the BMW X4 is about as good as it gets. Not one to blend in with the crowd, the X4 is sure to make an impression and turn heads everywhere you go. But it's also more than just a looker, it's the solution to all your driving needs. It might not come with the affordable price tag as that of many of today's rivals, but that doesn't mean this isn't one value-packed car, something that truly becomes evident when you diligently look over the expansive specs sheet. The X4 is a great car for the aspirational, hard-working car owner.
Bold, fresh and exciting, the BMW X4 was first unveiled at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, before it was toured across various other car shows around the globe. It went into production that year, and also followed suit with a local release in Australia. After an initial upgrade in 2015, BMW released a second-generation version of the X4 in 2018.
Trying to separate these two models is akin to choosing between your favourite child! It's worth noting that these two SUVs share an abundance of common features and equipment, and in many circles, the X4 is effectively considered a more stylish take on the X3, offering coupe-like looks and a sweeping roof. Naturally the design changes mean there are some amenity and practicality considerations at play, with rear-occupant and boot space in the X4 more restricted on account of the sloping roof, but the slightly dearer X4 often touted as a car that is more fun to drive. Now you'll understand why there is little separating these two!
What price 'M'? That's the question I ask myself after noting that the BMW X4 M40i is very nearly $10,000 more than the superseded X4 xDrive35i. Both cars come with six-cylinder engines, but the newer vehicle – tested for this review – produces significantly more power and torque in a package that's larger, but little heavier. The BMW X4 M40i also comes with...
View ReviewThe X4 is not going to melt the hearts of everybody. But there will be those who will absolutely love this hulking coupe SUV. And they’ll love it and for the all the reasons others can’t stand the X4. Love it because it’s unashamedly different and a bit over-the-top. Love it because it’s an SUV that goes 'pfft' at the idea of off-road adventure. There’s som...
View ReviewCoupe-styled SUVs, like the BMW X4, are far from a new idea, yet as ever more manufacturers add swoopy SUVs to their ranges, the format remains controversial – from both stylistic and practicality points of view. As unpopular as it may seem, I like them. I mean, they all look ungainly to me, and there’s little chance I’d ever own one, but I like that they ex...
View ReviewWhy? That's the first thing that came to mind when BMW unveiled the X4, an SUV-cum-coupe. Strong sales justify its existence, and now, in its second generation, the X4 gains a hot version. Enter the $109,900 X4 M40i. Longer, lower and wider than before, the new X4 is more than just a gigantic kidney grille. Sitting behind it, though, is the gem of the M Perf...
