Find out the BMW X4 2019 price today!
For a luxury SUV packing power, precision and flair, the BMW X4 is about as good as it gets. Not one to blend in with the crowd, the X4 is sure to make an impression and turn heads everywhere you go. But it's also more than just a looker, it's the solution to all your driving needs. It might not come with the affordable price tag as that of many of today's rivals, but that doesn't mean this isn't one value-packed car, something that truly becomes evident when you diligently look over the expansive specs sheet. The X4 is a great car for the aspirational, hard-working car owner.
Bold, fresh and exciting, the BMW X4 was first unveiled at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, before it was toured across various other car shows around the globe. It went into production that year, and also followed suit with a local release in Australia. After an initial upgrade in 2015, BMW released a second-generation version of the X4 in 2018.
Trying to separate these two models is akin to choosing between your favourite child! It's worth noting that these two SUVs share an abundance of common features and equipment, and in many circles, the X4 is effectively considered a more stylish take on the X3, offering coupe-like looks and a sweeping roof. Naturally the design changes mean there are some amenity and practicality considerations at play, with rear-occupant and boot space in the X4 more restricted on account of the sloping roof, but the slightly dearer X4 often touted as a car that is more fun to drive. Now you'll understand why there is little separating these two!
BMW expanded the 'SUV Coupe' segment with the original X4, and now we're testing the revised 2019 model. It's got plenty of standard kit, and while we don't know final pricing, promises to be a hit with buyers.
View ReviewUntil recently, BMW had seemingly left no stone unturned with its SUV arsenal both here in Australia and abroad. It made popular the luxury SUV trend started by Range Rover in 1970 with the original BMW X5 in 1999, then cashed in on the small SUV obsession with the X1, helped invent the ‘coupe-SUV’ genre with the original X6, followed by the X2 and X4, and f...
View ReviewWith no sport, dance tutorials, play-dates or birthday parties scheduled, I decided to take the kids away on a trip to Wolgan Valley for the night. Situated on the other side of the Blue Mountains, it’s about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Sydney. The kid’s excitement of going away was only slightly tempered at the thought of spending more than two hours...
View ReviewSUV 'coupes' still cause raging debate regarding their design, practicality, and validity of existence. But who started this trend? The widely accepted answer is none other than BMW. With the original X6, which went on sale globally in 2008, the Bavarian manufacturer tapped into a new niche in the new-car market, combining the high ride height and muscular p...
View ReviewIt’s fair to say BMW invented the unorthodox coupe-profiled SUV, at least at the luxury end of the spectrum, when it introduced the X6 in 2008. Harsh critics said a version of the X5 which sacrificed a rear seat and some boot space but cost more couldn’t possibly make sense, but a strong customer base proved them wrong. The surprisingly warm reception prompt...
