The most powerful SUV coupé from Audi Sport, and also one of the quickest cars on the market, the RS Q8 can rocket from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. It has a rated power output of up to 441kW, while maximum torque on offer is 800Nm. That is made possible through a 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo V8 set-up. Audi has also smashed records with the RS Q8, sending it around the famous Nürburgring with a lap time of 7 minutes and 42.2 seconds, making it the fastest SUV to tackle the track, and faster than a first-generation R8 V10.
From the outset, the biggest difference between these units boils down to performance. Whereas the Audi SQ8 is no slouch by any means - after all, it has a thunderous twin-turbo 4.0-litre TDI engine that puts out 320kW of power and up to 900Nm of torque - the RS Q8 offers up to 441kW of power and a 0-100km/h time that is a whole second faster than its peer at 3.8 seconds. On top of that, the RS Q8 has a distinctive style that makes it stand out with intricate design details, while the customisable RS seats are a whole other world from what you might be used to, alongside a host of other high-end options included as standard right here. Naturally, the price will set you back more, but now you know what you're getting.
You would have known from the get-go that the RS Q8 is priced at a premium compared with the SQ8 - one that we definitely think is justified. That means the price of the RS Q8 starts at $213,900 before on-road costs like stamp duty, registration, dealer delivery fees, and other government charges. There is just the one variant behind this model, with the sole choice powered by a twin-turbocharged petrol V8 complete with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance for fuel savings.

Alfa Romeo has been hard at work refining the Giulia. The engineers in Turin have updated the infotainment, interior trim, and driver assists to make its beautiful sports sedan a better rival for its German foes – and they’ve done a pretty good job of it. But the more mundane, mainstream Giulia isn’t what the red-blooded Alfisti want to know about. They want...
