Sadly, local variants of the Suzuki Ignis are limited to being just front-wheel drive, which means that you won't quite find the off-roading prowess in this unit that you might desire if you are looking to head into the wilderness. Overseas, the Ignis does come with an option for four-wheel drive, making it all the more disappointing that local motorists miss out on what would have been a highly desirable option.
As quirky and fun as the Ignis is to drive, when it comes to rough terrain including hills, you might want to look at other options that come with 4x4 functionality. Love my car. Very comfortable. Being able to slide the back seats forward is fantastic. All passengers have good leg room. The only problem is not having very much storage space.
