Toyota C-HR FAQs

PMC Says... 7.7 / 10

Toyota C-HR Perhaps Toyota’s most bold design yet, the CH-R is a sharp-looking vehicle that signifies its first real foray into the compact SUV category. This recently released model from the Japanese manufacturer wouldn’t look out of place on a list of the trendiest vehicles going around. Just one glance at the CH-R should let you sense that you’re in for a treat. It’s spacious, comfortable and brimming with value from top to bottom. Motorists may choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive powertrains, in addition to a slightly more premium version of the CH-R, called the Koba. The latter feature larger tyres with more grip, tinted windows, smart key operation, leather trim, heated front seats and additional styling options. All of this comes surplus to the standard parking sensors, reversing camera, active cruise control, automatic wipers and hill-start assistance. Plus, there’s also a host of active safety mechanisms like forward collision warning, AEB, rear-cross traffic alerts and blind-spot monitoring. Few cars offer a safety package as complete as this, not to mention, liberal space and protection for back seat passengers. The Toyota CH-R may be new, but with a raft of features and the backing of its newest vehicle architecture, it has quickly made itself known as a composed drive that can turn dynamic when necessary.

Toyota C-HR Review

In what might be the most sensible, practical move ever, the third car in Australia to be given the GR treatment is the C-HR SUV. While the 2020 Toyota C-HR GR Sport may not be a fully loaded performance model in the same way the GR Supra and GR Yaris are, it follows a familiar formula set by plenty of other brands. More closely related to the regular C-HR i...

Despite wearing the badge of Australia’s best-selling car brand, the Toyota C-HR small SUV is being denied its day in the sun. It’s not, for example, enjoying the dominance of the resurgent Toyota RAV4 which, in its latest form, is blitzing its mid-size SUV competitors. And the reason? Simply, price. The most affordable Toyota C-HR – the Toyota C-HR Turbo –...

For some reason, Toyota thought the model designation "GXL" would fit the C-HR despite being far more at home on a Land Cruiser, which is a car with a very 1980s vibe versus the C-HR's 21st century zeitgeist feel. The main changes for the 2021 model year are added to the safety column, but GXL buyers pick up keyless entry and start. The 2WD is $30,915 (plus...

Bumblebee, we called it, this stunningly yellow example of automotive art that is known as the 2017 Toyota C-HR. It’s the top-end Koba model – not the all-wheel-drive version as tested by Paul recently, but the front-drive version that we included in our recent small SUV test. And it came out on top. There are plenty of good reasons for that – and not only b...

It took years for Toyota Australia to bring the hybrid variant of its funky C-HR crossover to our market, but despite being fashionably late it’s been the only real hybrid mainstream small SUV until very recently. The 2021 Toyota C-HR Koba Hybrid launched in the very late stages of 2019 as part of the facelifted range, and at the time stood alone in its clas...

The distinctively styled Toyota C-HR is big inside for a small SUV, and you can get it in several bright colours. This new baby SUV – the first from Toyota – is good to drive and comfortable to ride in, and it does not use much fuel. Two-zone air-conditioning, auto cruise-control and auto braking are standard and there is a choice of turbocharged petrol or h...

One quick click and I was put in touch with the dealership sales manager who provided excellent service. No need to talk to sales people who are not the decision makers in the dealership.
