Each of the variants in the Renault Koleos line-up are manufactured in South Korea. Nonetheless, the French auto-maker is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, which incorporates the likes of Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Nissan. Datsun, Lada among others. Alongside locations such as Japan, Thailand, the US and Germany, Korea is one of the main sources for vehicle imports in Australia, with a reputation for building quality vehicles with high reliability.
Unfortunately, the Renault Koleos is limited to just five seats, however, that might not necessarily be a negative depending on how you plan to use this SUV. There is significant space in the cabin thanks to the spacious layout, including a boot that is expansive and highly functional. Leg and head room are no problem for rear passengers, who are also treated to a high level of amenity. Of course, if you really need space for seven as part of a large family, consider the Nissan X-Trail, Mitsubishi Outlander or Kia Sorento.
Like a number of other European car brands, Renault offers a capped-price servicing program, which spans across the company's line-up of premium cars. Take note of the extended service interval of the Renault Koleos, which features a service interval of every 12 months or 30,000 km, subject to adaptive servicing requirements determined by the oil condition sensor. For a five-year servicing plan, the total cost is set at $2,715, while the three-year plan comes in at $1,047 for the petrol-powered variants and $1,107 for the diesel-powered version, both alongside extra costs for certain parts.
