Hot on the heels of the new GWM Ute, and the impressive Haval H6 SUV, the brand has now made its way to upgrading the H2 subcompact SUV, and that means an all-new model. Introducing the Haval Jolion, which not only bears a sharp price, but also has a sumptuous design that will tingle all the senses. It has a unique design that gives it more presence on the road, however, that is also backed up by improvements to the powertrain, interior, and overall amenity. Across the range you’ll find standard inclusions like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, parking sensors, auto wipers, reversing camera, keyless operation, auto headlights, plus an active safety package. The interior of the Jolion has more style and panache, but there is a greater sense of comfort across the board thanks to the seats, sound isolation, above-average wheelbase, and overall ride quality. Space is in great quantity, so there is loads of room for cargo, but the 1.5-litre turbo four-pot takes the prize here. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch auto, the combination works wonders, and there is more power on offer than some of the Jolion’s rivals. This snappy SUV is a much better proposition than the former H2, and if this inaugural model is anything to go by, it will only continue to gain traction in the Australian car market.
