Renault has lived up to lofty expectations with the latest iteration of the Captur, delivering a quality car that boasts solid performance, great reliability and build finish, an expansive features list, as well as economical operation. Given the amount of choice out there today, it's only fair that buyers are treated to something special. And the Renault Captur does just that, bringing to the fore a great assortment of traits that we only wish we had discovered sooner. Put this compact SUV on your must-see list.
In some overseas markets, for example, India, the Renault Captur has been phased out due to lacklustre sales. Locally, however, and in a number of other markets abroad, the Captur continues to be available for new car buyers to purchase. So if you have your eyes set on this compact SUV, head to your nearest Renault showroom to discuss prices and see if you can score yourself a bargain. While Renault hasn't announced plans to retire the Captur locally, you can never be too sure, so be quick.
Locally, the Renault Captur is sold only as a front-wheel-drive vehicle, so no, there are no options to find a 4x4 variant. If you are looking for a true 4x4 that still fits into the compact SUV segment, the Jeep Compass is one of your best bets, and it comes with a good off-roading pedigree behind it. Sadly, Australia hasn't been afforded the 4x4 options for the Captur that you might find overseas in the electric models from the range.
