Prices for the Renault Arkana start from $34,590 for the entry-level Arkana ZEN SUV, which follows a price rise shortly after the model was first released in 2021. Next in the line-up is the Arkana Intens, which starts from $38,590. And of course, at the top of the range, the Arkana R.S. Line begins at $42,090. Each of these prices are subject to change, as per Renault's Suggested Retail Pricing. They also exclude on-road costs such as stamp duty, dealer delivery fees, registration and other government charges.
The Renault Arkana actually leverages the same CMF-B platform found in the Renault Captur, as well as the Nissan Juke. Locally, it's just front-wheel-drive for the Renault Arkana, which like the Captur, makes do with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that distributes power to the front wheels only. In overseas markets, Renault has developed all-wheel-drive variants, but there is none of that here down under, despite the booming popularity of AWDs and 4x4s. In any case, AWD alone wouldn't pass muster for being representative of a true 4x4, so you might want to look at the Jeep line-up, or select models from Toyota and Mitsubishi.

Alfa Romeo has been hard at work refining the Giulia. The engineers in Turin have updated the infotainment, interior trim, and driver assists to make its beautiful sports sedan a better rival for its German foes – and they’ve done a pretty good job of it. But the more mundane, mainstream Giulia isn’t what the red-blooded Alfisti want to know about. They want...
