• Is the SsangYong Korando any good for towing?

  While the Korando offers a respectable level of pulling power, with braked towing capacity for up to 2,000kg and unbraked towing capacity for up to 750kg, it might not be quite what many new car buyers have come to expect, what with other cars that can offers upwards of 3,000kg or even 3,500kg braked towing capacity. With that said, at this price-point, for a compact crossover, the value proposition is a completely different story, and in terms of pound-for-pound towing capacity, the SsangYong Korando is very worthy of consideration.

• Who makes the SsangYong Korando engine?

  As is the case with the rest of the SsangYong range, changes have been afoot in terms of the design and production of engines for the South Korean car brand. Previously, engines were produced under licence from Mercedes-Benz, however, that is no longer the case. In recent years, the auto-maker has transitioned to a different strategy, leveraging its internal capabilities to produce the engine for the Korando, and other SsangYong models, in-house.

• Is the SsangYong Korando a safe car?

  Like many of today's latest vehicles, the SsangYong Korando is brimming with active safety aids and features, all of which contribute to a trusted car for the entire family. Furthermore, the Korando sports a five-star ANCAP safety rating, which it was awarded in 2019.
