One of Ferrari's prominent names still on sale in 2022, the 488 starts from a price of $526,888 before on-road costs like stamp duty, dealer delivery, registration and other government charges and taxes. This is the price for the 'entry-level' 488 Spider convertible, while the 488 Pista coupe will set you back $596,888 plus on-road costs. Of course, no one said a Ferrari would be affordable to everyone, but if you're lucky enough to afford a 488, it won't let you down.
As you might expect from a prestige supercar brand like Ferrari, the 488 fared particularly well in the second-hand market in terms of keeping its value. You might see a relatively modest depreciation in the value of a 488 after the first three years, but if you take great care of this unit and don't put too many kilometres on the odometer, it may also hold an even greater percentage of its original value, something the Pista variant is known for.
It's something that many motoring insiders have tried to crack for some time now, but unfortunately, Ferrari doesn't release any official data on the production of its various model lines. The only exception to this is for limited models that have been rolled out over the years. Some estimates put the total number of 488s out there at upwards of 15,000 units across the world, but do keep in mind this vehicle is still in production, so that number continues to increase.
