Due to technical regulations in Europe, Morgan no longer imports nor sells cars its prior range of cars in Australia. Production of the iconic and much loved 'traditional' Morgans, commonly referred to as Classic Morgans, ceased in 2020, while the latest batch of models sold in UK and EU markets are not offered throughout the rest of the world, largely because of the modifications that would make it impractical for the auto-maker to comply with our unique Australian Design Rule technical requirements (ADRs).
Naturally, there is typically some depreciation in the first few years of owning any car, and Morgan is no different. However, the extent with which this brand commands a large majority of its original purchase price is almost unmatched. It really is a reflection of the high-quality manufacturing and craftsmanship tied to this brand, as well as the loyal and enthusiastic customer base that it has built up over more than a century. On top of that, Morgan stock is incredibly scarce, so resell values are supported, and some of the brand's classics actually go on to increase their value over time as collector units.
There is a simple way to understand the differences between the Plus 4 and Plus 6 models from Morgan, and that firmly rests on the fact that the Plus Four is lighter and more agile than the Plus Six, offering a different sensation on the road in terms of ride dynamics. Of course, the Plus Six is incredibly sporty in its own right, but it has a more planted feel even when driven aggressively. They may not stack up against some of the modern-day sports cars we are familiar with, but they do make a name for themselves.
