Find out the Honda Odyssey 2018 price today!
One of the more established names in the people mover segment, the Honda Odyssey is facing stiff competition as the likes of the LDV G10 try to impose on its territory, which has already been fiercely contested against high-profile rivals like the Kia Carnival and Hyundai iMax. Nonetheless, the Honda Odyssey is still a category leader, offering high levels of amenity, a flexible cabin configuration with supreme comfort, and all the vital safety aids to make this one highly desirable unit. Of course, Honda's name gives it a little bit of an up-market feel, which should win over the family.
Naturally, the top-of-the-range Vi LX7 is the best Honda Odyssey model. It comes with the most features, many of which will make your life a whole lot easier, not to mention, an added level of safety to provide peace of mind for all the family. While prices are higher than the former variants in the Odyssey range, this reflects the addition of active safety, second-row captain's chairs and seven-seat capacity. The Vi LX7 offers the benefits of gesture-controlled power sliding doors, an automatic power tailgate with kick sensor, driver memory seats, plus ambient footwell lighting for the second row.
Historically, the Honda Odyssey has had some issues with its transmission, even though the company has sought to address this time and time again. In particular, the years affected include models from 1999-2004, 2014-2015, and more recently, 2018. Whereas issues in the older models were more severe, often resulting in transmission failure after a high mileage, the recent issue that led to a wide recall in 2018 was pinpointed to loose battery terminal connections. Honda was able to implement an immediate remedy to fix the issue, with the transmission in the Honda Odyssey drawing no attention since.
Call it what you like, MPV, minivan, people mover The Honda Odyssey cant muster the same level of enthusiasm as similarly sized SUVs with seven seats.
View ReviewWhat’s it all about? The Honda Odyssey people-mover mightn’t be the newest or most popular form of transportation on the market; but it does what it’s designed to do well. And following recent updates it’s now safer, better looking, more refined and able to tow more than its predecessor, at 1000kg braked. But there’s a catch… The Honda Sensing safety technol...
View ReviewLong before SUVs roamed our streets, parents turned to people movers when they needed something big to haul their families across the vast suburban plains. Sure, styling was never really their strong point (and on early models in particular), but they easily accommodated half a soccer team in relative comfort, and so became the chariots of choice for large f...
View ReviewThat’s a shame, particularly for anyone primarily concerned with moving people rather than just keeping up with the Joneses on the school run. It goes against the tide of popular opinion, but minivans like the 2018 Honda Odyssey are often better than the multitude of SUVs that fill Australian streets. Somehow the adventure aesthetic resonates with buyers mor...
View ReviewKia Carnival: Kia’s big bus starts off on the back foot, with a pricetag-to-equipment ratio that’s not quite as sharp as the Honda’s. Just shy of $48K, the spec list covers the basics, but the only real standout features are sat-nav, tri-zone climate control, active cruise control, lane-departure warning and AEB – features also boasted by the Odyssey VTi-L....
