If you want our take on it, the new-generation of this flagship luxury sedan is remarkable in almost every way. Genesis is making a name for itself in producing quality units like the G80, and that means new car buyers are lucky to be able to access a premium model like this at what is still a relatively accessible price-point. Ride comfort is superb in the MY21 edition of the G80, thanks in no small part to a quiet cabin, accommodative suspension set-up, and comfortable seating. But as with Genesis’ other models, the depth of the equipment list is something else altogether, with nearly everything under the sun included right here. The G80 feels sophisticated and advanced from the outside, but the interior adds to this sensation, both in terms of design, as well as the intuitive tech and interface where everything comes together. A potent 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 tops the range, and it is imposing to say the least with 279kW of power and 530Nm of torque. The 2.5-litre edition is also quick off the mark, with great agility and composure. This is a car that is not only fit for purpose, but also feels as though it has a purpose. Charm, charisma, elegance, and exceptional value - what more could you want?
