• Are Fiat Doblo vans any good?

  Making a name for itself as a reliable, dependable and robust van over the years, the Fiat Doblo was one of the stalwarts in the auto-maker's line-up when it came to commercial vehicles. Although no longer being sold in Australia, there is no denying this is a van that can stand up to any challenge or task, and it will also last you a long time. Boasting high practicality and versatility, as well as a generous amount of configuration, the Doblo's departure is a shame for the local market. Don't despair, however, the Ducato is just as impressive if you are looking for a second option.

• Can you sleep in a Fiat Doblo?

  Although the Doblo was not sold as a campervan while on sale across Australia, that doesn't mean you can't be creative and get hands on converting this van into a potential campervan. In terms of numbers, the span from the rear doors to the bulkhead was in the vicinity of 1.82 metres to 2.17m long, depending on the option you choose, while the distance between the wheelarches is around 1.2m. Height in the load-bay is a minimum of 1.3m, so if you wanted to build out a space in the back to sleep or 'live', it could be done with minimal fuss.

• Is the Fiat Doblo discontinued?

  Yes, following model year 2020, Fiat phased out the Doblo van in early 2021. It came amid low sales for the model, and with the Ducato variant already considered the van option for local new car buyers. After the decision, Fiat now only sells the Ducato van and the 500 city car within Australia, which is a shadow of its former line-up. Things may change one day, but for now, it is goodbye to the Doblo after six years.
