It's hard to go past the T6, which remains the latest-generation version of the VW Transporter, even if it was released back in 2016. Nonetheless, this is the one to opt for if you value a more pleasant van that is easier to enjoy on the road and more comfortable as well. Compared with the T5, Volkswagen implemented a number of measures to reduce road noise, alongside improvements with the transmission that make for a more seamless and serene driving experience. As to which specific variant you pick from the T6 range, that will depend entirely on your needs and what you have in store for this workmanlike van.
It's not unreasonable to expect the latest Volkswagen Transporter to have a useful life of at least 250,000 kilometres. However, this will depend on whether you take care of the van on the road, and also if you service it according to schedule.
