Prices for the latest Volkswagen Multivan range from $61,990 for the entry-level Multivan TDI340 SWB Comfortline Premium, up to $87,990 for the higher-spec Multivan TDI450 LWB Comfortline Executive. There are also a number of other variants available, each powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor, but split between a short wheelbase and long wheelbase, in addition to different trim levels. These prices are based on the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price.
One of the biggest differences between the Caravelle and Multivan is its cabin configuration. The Caravelle is able to accommodate nine passengers across four separate rows, comprising 2+2+2+3. In contrast, the Multivan has seating for seven across three rows, with a 2+2+3 lay-out and swivelling captain’s chairs in the middle and a smart-rail system. There are also some spec differences between these two people movers, with the Multivan generally offering a slightly higher engine output.
The VW Multivan is an extremely versatile people mover making it easy to transport the family, tackle an adventure weekend, or deliver packages to clients. It is available with a maximum seating capacity of seven, and is characterised by its unique smart-rail feature, whereby seats can slide forward and backward into just about any configuration. Built in Germany, this diesel-powered unit is a favourite among many different types of motorists.
