The Toyota Corolla is the world’s best-selling car, closing in on a monumental 50 million sales around the world. It's also a favourite in the local passenger vehicle segment, having finished on top several years in a row now, even as the shift towards SUVs works against it. In addition to reliability, efficiency and economy, the Toyota Corolla also provides drivers with great ride comfort, sprightly performance, sophisticated technology and safety aids, plus some funky styling to cap it all off. This humble unit is a category leader for good reason, well in front of the rest of the pack.
Toyota Corollas are highly durable and reliable cars that you will find can go hundreds of thousands of kilometres across their life, and still serve as a faithful car. Older vehicles with higher mileage are more susceptible to problems, which include things like issues with the engine cranking over, problems with the evaporative emission system, the automatic transmission seeing some difficulties while shifting, and so on. Again, these are problems limited to older Toyota Corollas, whereas the most-recent generation or two from this series have mainly seen just minor problems related to interior accessories.

I’m a tad disappointed to be honest. My old Corolla (2013 - same model) had an internal switch to close side mirrors, 2022 model requires manual close. Also, GPS has not been programmed to determine school hours. I’m sick of “the girl” telling me it’s a school zone on weekends & night time. I would have thought an easy fix, I know my 2018 VW Passat recognise...
