These prices are based on the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, while the on-road price range in Australia starts from just over $52k up to $72k.
While you might think the Swedish manufacturer Volvo produces the XC40 in its own backyard, the XC40 is actually made in Ghent, Belgium, in addition to China, where Volvo's parent company, Geely, is based. I've found the Volvo XC40 to be a wonderful car to drive. The steering is beautifully light at low speeds and the seats are extremely comfortable. I especially love the heated steering wheel and hands-free boot opener. The only downside is the premium petrol required which makes driving costs very high. How I would have loved an hybrid! Very safe and luxurious car that I enjoy driving and just sitting in it. Long drives are comfortable and fantastic cocoon feeling. Petrol consumption could be better but it is a heavy car. I would buy it again.
