The newest Volvo XC40 ranges in price from $46,990 for the basic trim level XC40 T4 Momentum (FWD) through to $64,990 for the range-topping XC40 Recharge PHEV (FWD). In between you'll also find two all-wheel-drive variants, the T4 Inscription (AWD) and T5 R-Design (AWD). These prices are based on the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, while the on-road price range in Australia starts from just over $52k up to $72k.
While you might think the Swedish manufacturer Volvo produces the XC40 in its own backyard, the XC40 is actually made in Ghent, Belgium, in addition to China, where Volvo's parent company, Geely, is based. Volvo has production and manufacturing plants in various locations across the world, including Sweden and the US, each of which serves a different purpose in the assembly line.

I've found the Volvo XC40 to be a wonderful car to drive. The steering is beautifully light at low speeds and the seats are extremely comfortable. I especially love the heated steering wheel and hands-free boot opener. The only downside is the premium petrol required which makes driving costs very high. How I would have loved an hybrid! Very safe and luxurious car that I enjoy driving and just sitting in it. Long drives are comfortable and fantastic cocoon feeling. Petrol consumption could be better but it is a heavy car. I would buy it again.
