While no longer available as a new car, the V40 will still retain a place among the better upmarket hatchbacks to be sold in Australia across recent years. Not only does it sport an elegant design, but it is economical, well-built, reliable and equipped with a comprehensive safety suite that is sure to stand the test of time. The model may have been phased out in favour of SUVs, as is common across the new car market today, but the V40 turns back the clock and proves hatchbacks are a joy to own.
Yes, Volvo made the decision in 2019 to discontinue production of the V40 and pull the car from the global automotive market.
