Yes, Volvo made the decision in 2019 to discontinue production of the V40 and pull the car from the global automotive market. Offering an entry-level solution for buyers interested in the famous Swedish brand known for its outstanding build quality and reputation for safety, this five-door hatchback enjoyed seven years of sales down under before being phased out.
New car buyers have increasingly gravitated towards larger vehicles in recent years, particularly SUVs.
