While the Volkswagen Arteon may have disappeared from the spotlight for a short while, it is now on the verge of making a big and bolder impression thanks to the October 2021 version. VW owners no longer have to wait for the successor to the popular series, with the new model offering an elegant, stylish and sophisticated car that Volkswagen is on record as saying it will redefine your driving experience. New car buyers can choose between the 140TSI Elegance and 206TSI R-Line models, and both are stunners.
With the new Arteon range now available to new car buyers across Australia, prices span from $59,990 plus on-road costs for the 140TSI Elegance, to $68,990 before on-road costs for the top-spec 206TSI R-Line. As both of these prices are before on-road costs you will need to factor in additional expenses such as stamp duty, dealer delivery charges, plus more. And then, as with any new car, negotiating that best-price should be on the agenda for any new car buyer.
Volkswagen has taken inspiration from the Latin language when it came up with the Arteon range, with the word “Arteon” derived from the Latin word “artem,” which means art. In a nod to the Arteon's unparalleled beauty, Volkswagen opted for this name so that it could underscore the magnitude of the beauty of this car.

Volkswagen gets arty with a new flagship passenger car, but can the Arteon keep style-conscious executives out of A5 Sportbacks, 4 Series Gran Coupes or C-Classes?
View ReviewThe idea of an emotional farewell with a Teutonic, tech-laden passenger car such as the Volkswagen Arteon might seem a little lost on some. And had you asked your correspondent before the commencement of our recent six-month loan of Volkswagen’s new flagship earlier this year, I’d have agreed. But I was wrong. Because it turns out Volkswagen’s first major pl...
View ReviewYou’ve got to try pretty hard to find proper icy driving conditions in Australia, but when you do, you want to have every option at your disposal to give you the best chance of avoiding a collision. Just look at the popularity of inherently all-wheel drive Subarus in the Snowy Mountains area or Tasmania. Audi is another brand synonymous with all-wheel driv...

View ReviewCareful… if there’s one word to describe the manner in which we drove the laps which Volkswagen Australia offered us in its apprentice-built Arteon time attack car, it’s that. Careful. Not just because it was very, very rainy, or because it was cold and the car is fitted with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slicks, or even because the car’s boasting 360kW and 6...
