Find out the Suzuki Swift 2018 price today!
The Suzuki Swift is a popular option for those on a budget, offering all the zip and agility to take you through the chaos that accompanies inner-city driving. With ample functionality and a sprightly engine that works tirelessly to perform well in a range of conditions, the Suzuki Swift drives with spirit and vigour. This is the prime example of a compact lightweight car that has all the capabilities to punch well above its weight, not to mention, the fact that a modest budget can still deliver in spades.
The Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) gave the Suzuki Swift a five-star rating for safety in 2017. However, not all models have the latest state-of-the-art safety features, and if that testing was redone today, the GL Navigator would score four stars as autonomous emergency braking isn't standard in that version. In addition to AEB, the GL Navigator Plus and GLX Turbo variants also feature adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, reverse parking sensors and rear-cross traffic alerts. There is no lane-trace assist, steering assist or traffic-sign recognition in any of the Suzuki Swift models.
One of the things that will be sure to surprise you is the level of space and roominess in this compact unit, with loads of head room and leg space, and ergonomic seating that is perfect for all those hours behind the wheel. What's more, the Suzuki Swift is fairly effortless to drive, an easy car to manage over long distances and one that rides smoothly, quietly and responsive to every bit of input. While you might be missing that little bit of extra power that helps when overtaking, the smooth gear changes and delicate grip more than make up for it.
Fans of old school hot hatches will be delighted that the new 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport adheres to the borrowed philosophy that always made it so fun: light is right.
View ReviewThe move to turbocharged induction for the new Suzuki Swift Sport yields just three kilowatts more than the previous model with its naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre engine. But the new car's party trick is the torque from the 1.4-litre powerplant – 70 more Newton metres, which is nearly half as much again. Added to that, the new Swift Sport – now nearly 100kg l...
View ReviewThe Suzuki Swift Sport hasn't changed much in concept since the first iteration launched over a decade ago. Fun, fast and light. Now with turbo power and a host of new-age technologies, the featherweight hot hatch aims to take on the big-hitters of the light hot-hatch segment, including the likes of the Renault Clio RS and Volkswagen Polo GTI – the latter g...
View ReviewHAVE you ever hopped into a car for the first time and immediately thought, “this feels right”? First impressions count, but relatively few cars in my experience have nailed that initial metaphorical handshake. However, the ones that do get off on the right foot all have one thing in common – they tend to do pretty damn well when time comes to put them throu...
View ReviewAmazing quality and the car is a dream to drive. Well worth doing a test drive especially the Sport, as once you have done a test drive you will be sold.
View ReviewIve found my Suzuki Swift to be exactly what I wanted ,economical, a pleasure to drive and very suitable for city parking . Would highly recommend to anyone
View ReviewBest decision I have made, just love the size and although it seems small from the outside, inside has plenty of room. I even had a car seat fitted for my grandchildren with no issues and still plenty of room, love the window space and very few blind spots, seats are amazingly comfy and the simple but up to date dashboard is perfect for me. if you are consid...
