Find out the Renault Zoe 2019 price today!
The Zoe is actually a fully-electric vehicle, and it is one of the best-selling electric vehicles across the European market. It is by a long way Renault's most successful fully-electric vehicle, so no, it is not a hybrid. Sadly, however, Australians don't have the luxury of being able to step into one of these popular units, with the Zoe not sold down under following its retirement in 2020. With that said, the all-electric Megane E-Tech is the next big thing out of Renault in the EV space.
Based on WLTP standards, the range efficiency of the Renault Zoe is 395 kilometers WLTP in mild-weather conditions. This is for models with either the R110 or R135 electric motor configuration. Compared with some of the prior iterations of the Zoe, the latest model offers a far greater driving range. Previously, the Zoe was powered by a 41kWh battery set-up that offered a maximum driving range of between 280 and 300 kilometres on one charge.
No, the Renault Zoe was one of the design casualties tied to the introduction of new side-impact crash regulations that came into force on 1 November, 2021, and are commonly known as ADR 85. In response to these regulations, Renault made the decision to retire the Zoe from the local market, including the fully-electric hatch, and it was not alone in reaching this decision as other manufacturers followed suit with similar cars that would have been uneconomical to tailor specifically for Australia. At the time, however, Renault also cited other reasons for the Zoe's departure, including a lack of government incentives for EVs and slow EV sales.
Renault claims no less than 60 patents came out of the Zoe's development, but while BMW's i3 is as hip as Kendrick Lamar on his third encore, and even Toyota's long-serving Prius hybrid still looks ready to roll onto the set of the next Avengers movie, this little hatch isn't shouty at all. It seamlessly merges into the automotive landscape. A cute, small ca...
View ReviewThe Renault Zoe has been a long time coming – on sale in France since 2012 and totalling a little over 33,000 sales since then. Renault then updated the Zoe in October of 2016, introducing a bigger 41kWh battery that added range to the city electric vehicle. It was around a year later that Renault Australia officially confirmed that the Zoe would be sold in...
View ReviewWELCOME to Australia’s oldest yet cutest electric vehicle, as well as Europe’s EV bestseller, the Renault Zoe. Launched in 2012, and based on the, ahem, current Clio IV supermini, the electric Frenchie five-seater city hatch has been systematically improved since then, so don’t worry; you’ll still manage an easy 200km-plus range, even when driven with gay ab...
