Find out the Renault Kangoo 2017 price today!
The all-electric Renault Kangoo offers a sustainable alternative for those that want to make the switch to the next-gen format. The good news is that the Kangoo Maxi Z.E. has a real-world range of 200 kilometres, which is the market's biggest driving range for electric vans. That might not seem like much, however, for day-to-day business, you'll be pleasantly surprised just how versatile 200 kilometres of driving range turns out to be. If you want something with a longer driving range, you'll have no choice but to look at SUVs, although with a compromise there for work purposes.
Prices for the new Renault Kangoo range begin at $26,290 plus on-road costs for the basic trim level Commercial Kangoo Compact 1.2. At nearly double the price, the top spec Commercial Kangoo Maxi ZE retails for $50,290 before on-road costs. Be mindful, however, this top-of-the-range model is an all-electric van, so you really are paying a premium for a whole other type of vehicle, and one that will pay dividends over the long-run. These prices are based on Renault's Suggested Retail Pricing, so don't forget to strike up a bargain!
In overseas markets, there is a specific Renault Kangoo model dubbed the campervan, which has a dedicated sleeping area and is perfect for two people who want to travel and live a life full of adventure. Sadly, this variant isn't available in Australia. However, that doesn't mean the Kangoo doesn't have the space for sleeping, as the back of this van offers ample space. In fact, some younger buyers of the Kangoo convert and fit out the rear of the van with a sleeping area, so the option is certainly available, albeit not straight out of the showroom.
While Renault is arguably better known in commercial circles for its medium-size Trafic and large Master vans, the company has been making significant inroads at the lightest end of the commercial spectrum, namely LCVs with a GVM of under 2.5 tonnes. In fact, Renault says it has sold over 4000 Kangoos since the model's Australian debut in 2011. Admittedly, s...
View ReviewThe Kangoo features typically quirky but cute European styling with non-glazed sliding doors on both sides of the cargo bay and a glazed swing-up tailgate as standard. The front-wheel drive L1 SWB Compact rides on a 2697mm wheelbase with an overall length of 4213mm and width of 1829mm. MacPherson strut front suspension and power-assisted steering are matched...
View ReviewThe Renault Kangoo has been given a much-needed update to better compete with the premium-positioned Volkswagen Caddy and sharply priced Citroen Berlingo. Leading the charge is the installation of a new 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine in place of the old asthmatic, naturally aspirated 1.6, a new six-speed dual-clutch automatic option in place of the old...
View ReviewMini vans can be a handy tool for urban businesses and the Renault Kangoo is no exception. It’s available in both long and short wheelbases, as a crew van, and with a diesel or petrol powerplant. But now the petrol powered Kangoo Compact has had a heart transplant with the arrival of a new auto gearbox and a 1.2 litre turbo engine. What Stands Out The short...
