Find out the Porsche 911 2021 price today!
In the eyes of the motoring universe, the Porsche 911 is considered one of the original supercars. It has a long and proud history of racing accomplishments behind it, and frankly, it is one of the best sports cars ever made. It has been pitted head-to-head against a number of other high-profile performance units over the years and done remarkably well, and thanks to the sheer power on offer, the 911 makes an impact in more ways than one.
This really depends on what you want to prioritise in a new car. Of course, if money is no barrier, you may as well look at the top of the 911 range, because the best-performing variant from the line-up is the 911 Turbo S. At the other end of the scale, and at slightly less than half the price of the Turbo S, the Carrera may appeal to those who want a taste of a supercar without the extra luxuries and blistering performance upgrades. The truth is, the most all-round option is probably somewhere in between, so also have a look at the Targa and GT3 names.
The 'cheapest' Porsche 911 variant is by no means particularly cheap at all, however, compared with some of the other variants in the 911 line-up, you could argue the 911 Carrera in coupe guise represents good value. It is priced from $241,300 before on-road costs such as stamp duty, dealer delivery fee, registration and other government charges. The Carrera is a rear-wheel-drive unit powered by a six-cylinder 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine.
Select Sport Plus mode. Left foot hard on the brake. No, harder. Hard enough that if feels like you'll break it. Look up to survey the view down runway 16L/34R. Take a deep lung full of air. Exhale slowly. Focus. Take another look at the horizon. Take another deep breath for good measure. Hit the ‘push to pass’ button inside the steering wheel. Wait a second...
View ReviewPorsche really does make pricing easy for its new 911 GT3. Easy if you have the money, that is. Here goes: the price for the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 six-speed manual is $369,600 plus on-road costs but including a three-year, unlimited-km factory warranty and Porsche Assist roadside assistance. If you want the PDK auto version that will be $369,600 plus ORCs. Th...
View ReviewIt’s getting on for half a century since Porsche introduced its first 911 Turbo. The ‘930’ was a ground-breaking mid-’70s supercar, sticking with the 911’s signature rear-mounted, air-cooled, flat-six cylinder engine driving the rear axle. And despite several close calls with extinction as the boffins in Zuffenhausen flirted with more conventional configurat...
View ReviewWalking out of the dealership pick-up point with the key to a 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S balled up in my fist, I walked up to the car with the heavy synth line from Take My Breath Away streaming in my mind. While Terri Nunn’s pleading “If only for today, I am unafraid. Take my breath awaaaaaay” looped through my head, I caught my first glimpse of the Turbo S....
View ReviewNot only is the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo the best-looking model since the iconic 930 of the ’70s, it’s also the fastest ever. This latest Turbo is more than twice as powerful as the original 911 Turbo, which was powered by a 191kW, 3.0-litre flat-six with a single turbocharger that tended to pack a wallop when you least expected it – hence, its reputation as a...
View ReviewThe Porsche 911 Turbo isn’t meant to be a track car. That area of expertise is the remit of other variants in the range. In its early days, it was a tool with which well-heeled businessmen used to scare themselves silly and/or disappear backwards into hedges, but the arrival of all-wheel drive in the 993-generation morphed it into the ultimate all-weather exp...
