Find out the Porsche 911 2019 price today!
In the eyes of the motoring universe, the Porsche 911 is considered one of the original supercars. It has a long and proud history of racing accomplishments behind it, and frankly, it is one of the best sports cars ever made. It has been pitted head-to-head against a number of other high-profile performance units over the years and done remarkably well, and thanks to the sheer power on offer, the 911 makes an impact in more ways than one.
This really depends on what you want to prioritise in a new car. Of course, if money is no barrier, you may as well look at the top of the 911 range, because the best-performing variant from the line-up is the 911 Turbo S. At the other end of the scale, and at slightly less than half the price of the Turbo S, the Carrera may appeal to those who want a taste of a supercar without the extra luxuries and blistering performance upgrades. The truth is, the most all-round option is probably somewhere in between, so also have a look at the Targa and GT3 names.
The 'cheapest' Porsche 911 variant is by no means particularly cheap at all, however, compared with some of the other variants in the 911 line-up, you could argue the 911 Carrera in coupe guise represents good value. It is priced from $241,300 before on-road costs such as stamp duty, dealer delivery fee, registration and other government charges. The Carrera is a rear-wheel-drive unit powered by a six-cylinder 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine.
Many years ago, there were a special few that roamed the Earth -- supercars with power-crazed engines attached to manual gearboxes. Machines designed to challenge the bravery, or the wisdom, of wealthy enthusiasts, fitted with clutches that left these lucky few with one leg larger than the other. Today they have largely gone the way of large-capacity V12 eng...
View ReviewThe big three automotive icons - VW’s Beetle, the original Mini, and… the Porsche 911. In continuous production for more than 50 years, a new, eighth-generation ‘992’ version of one of the world’s most recognisable cars has arrived in Australia. Launching initially in rear-wheel drive Carrera S (CS) and all-wheel drive Carrera 4S (C4S) variants, the headline...
View ReviewIt’s hard to argue that the Porsche 911 remains the sports car by which all others are judged, and here we take a closer look at the 2019 Porsche Carrera 4S. It's the priciest and most elaborate Carrera of the new-generation model, and the variant for Porsche fans who absolutely must have AWD. Our test car sits, bathing in the morning light, resplendent in v...
View ReviewThink of a Porsche 911. One that’s twin-turbocharged and rear-drive, with huge tyres. One that will sprint to 100 in a shade over four seconds and flat-out will see almost 300km/h. You may be thinking 993 GT2, but this is the new entry-level 911 Carrera. It’s an extraordinary thing: the performance of a pulverising homologation special of the mid-1990s can...
