We can't rate the Peugeot Expert highly enough. This is a delightful van to drive, impressing on a number of fronts. It feels poised, offers light steering, and boasts a robust engine. It's also a durable unit that can stand up to a number of day-to-day tasks, helped by a tight turning circle. The cabin and design bring a taste of European charm to the table, and there is little body-roll through corners. All told, the Peugeot Expert is among the best in its class.
Down under, the Peugeot Expert range is centred on a three-seat configuration. Each of the variants sold across the local new car market come with a Moduwork three-seat front bench, with folding passenger seat. On the other hand, in overseas markets, the Expert is available as a six-seat crew van, or in the form of a multi-purpose vehicle or minibus, with three rows of seats and space for up to nine occupants.
The length of a Peugeot Expert depends on exactly which variant you are looking at, however, the range spans from a minimum length of 4,959mm through to a maximum length of 5,309mm. Meanwhile, there is just the one wheel-base configuration across the Expert line-up, with that clocking in at 3,275mm in length. As you may have guessed, the Peugeot Expert Short is the shorter of the variants, while the Long is the longest variant available. for completeness, the Expert's load bay measures 1258mm wide between the arches, while the space measures between 2512mm and 2862mm long.
Peugeot returned to the light commercial van market recently with the first of three models it plans to release in Australia by September. The Peugeot Expert medium van will be joined by the smaller Partner and larger Boxer soon, the advanced safety features and five-year warranty offered on all Peugeot vans set to raise the bar within the segment. View ReviewThe Expert range starts with three standard body length (4959mm) models with a choice of engines and transmissions. There are also two extended body length (5309mm) variants, which Peugeot confusingly calls ‘long wheelbase’ even though their wheelbases are identical to the standard-length models. Our test vehicle is the highest priced standard-length model,...
