Peugeot 4008
Although local sales for the Peugeot 4008 have been withdrawn, you can still find the odd unit up for grabs ahead of an expected replacement in 2020. The existing model has been based on the structure of the Mitsubishi ASX, which it seems every motorist is flocking to nowadays. Similarities are so extensive that Peugeot’s vehicle is even built in the same Japanese factory that Mitsubishi produces its highly successful SUV. Perhaps the best starting point to describe the differences is by mentioning the European influence exerted by the French manufacturer, adding chic touches to the design that stand out as exquisite. Beyond that however, the 4008 receives full marks for the functional excellence and dapper styling of its interior, which is loaded with generous amounts of kit. Fuel consumption is thrifty thanks to stop-start engine technology, albeit the turbo diesel is economic in its own right. While the only variant is restricted to FWD, that does mean a sizeable cost saving compared to the ASX. If you can get a hold of any remaining units, the Peugeot 4008 matches recent versions of the popular Mitsubishi ASX in many areas, and in other areas it even comes out ahead.
