Find out the Peugeot 3008 2018 price today!
One look at the Peugeot 3008 and you'll already struggle to take your eyes off it. One hour in the Peugeot 3008 and you won't be too keen to hand back the keys any time soon! This is a marvellous mid-size SUV that really feels worth its asking price thanks to all the premium touches and sharp styling across the board. A family car that will win approval from all quarters, the Peugeot 3008 sits handsomely towards the top-end of the segment for comfort and presentation, but it is also matched by a commendable level of performance, reliability and efficiency.
With three variants on offer across the local car market, the first thing you'll need to ask yourself is whether you are after a petrol or diesel model? The range-topping GT, with a starting price of $54,990, is the dearest of the bunch, but comes with an eight-speed auto gearbox, as well as a more imposing engine thanks to its 2.0-litre capacity offering 133kW and 400Nm. In contrast, the Allure and GT Line variants produce 121kW and 240Nm, mated to a six-speed transmission. If you're happy to look past the higher performance credentials, nor keen on diesel, the sharp pricing of the Allure is hard to beat, especially for a premium brand in Peugeot.
Sadly, the local versions of the Peugeot 3008 are not all-wheel drive, instead, they each come with a front-wheel drive configuration. Given the wealth of SUVs on sale to choose from, you won't have a difficult time finding something that is equipped with AWD and more tailored to off-road driving.
In many ways the 2018 Peugeot 3008 is the new benchmark in the medium SUV segment. But does it do enough to convince newcomers to go French?
View ReviewNever in my career as a reviewer have I driven a car with as much build-up as the Peugeot 3008. Approximately nine months before I even received word I would be driving it, a good friend out of the blue declared, ‘If you ever get to drive the Peugeot 3008, I call dibs on a trip around the block at the very least’. This happened a number of times, right up un...
View ReviewThe $43,490 price tag will earn you all the goodies on the Active and Allure trim levels, but add genuine niceties like LED headlights and fog lights and some poshed-up exterior design elements like stainless steel scuff plates, twin exhaust tips and scrolling indicator lights, as well configurable interior lighting. It's the same petrol-only engine as the...
View ReviewThree hours and forty-two minutes. That’s a lot of time, enough to fly from the east coast of Australia to New Zealand, or listen to an entire debate in the Senate about how to waste $122m of tax payer’s money. The choices are endless. For us, though, that's how long we sat back as our car controlled the brake and accelerator pedals entirely by itself, readi...
View ReviewAS A YOUNG car nerd growing up in the ’90s, Sydney was a pretty good place to call home. Back then the harbour city still had its own motor show and my old man made a point of taking me every year. I was almost 11 years old when we visited in 1997, and my tiny mind was blown by the Peugeot 306 GTI 6 – a sporty hatchback with an outrageously exotic (for the...
View ReviewWe are very happy with our Peugeot 3008. Once you get used to things like the small steering wheel and the unique way to engage the auto transmission, it is a delight to drive. Very comfortable to ride in, excellent power and fuel economy. With things like the internal ambient lighting and the napper leather seats on our GTLine, it exudes class. There is suf...
