Find out the Peugeot 3008 2017 price today!
One look at the Peugeot 3008 and you'll already struggle to take your eyes off it. One hour in the Peugeot 3008 and you won't be too keen to hand back the keys any time soon! This is a marvellous mid-size SUV that really feels worth its asking price thanks to all the premium touches and sharp styling across the board. A family car that will win approval from all quarters, the Peugeot 3008 sits handsomely towards the top-end of the segment for comfort and presentation, but it is also matched by a commendable level of performance, reliability and efficiency.
With three variants on offer across the local car market, the first thing you'll need to ask yourself is whether you are after a petrol or diesel model? The range-topping GT, with a starting price of $54,990, is the dearest of the bunch, but comes with an eight-speed auto gearbox, as well as a more imposing engine thanks to its 2.0-litre capacity offering 133kW and 400Nm. In contrast, the Allure and GT Line variants produce 121kW and 240Nm, mated to a six-speed transmission. If you're happy to look past the higher performance credentials, nor keen on diesel, the sharp pricing of the Allure is hard to beat, especially for a premium brand in Peugeot.
Sadly, the local versions of the Peugeot 3008 are not all-wheel drive, instead, they each come with a front-wheel drive configuration. Given the wealth of SUVs on sale to choose from, you won't have a difficult time finding something that is equipped with AWD and more tailored to off-road driving.
The arrival of the Peugeot 3008 signals more than yet another medium SUV joining this booming sale segment. It also heralds the relaunch of the French brand in Australia under new distributor Inchcape, along with its PSA Group compatriot Citroen. We’ve gone into the implications for cars buyers of all this in various ways, including Inchcape’s plans to take...
View ReviewReceiving the 'Most Improved Award' is surely one of the great backhanded compliments. The inference being you weren't all that crash hot to start with (growing up I received many). It was with this thought in mind that I took the keys to the 2017 Peugeot 3008 GT, reportedly a much-improved effort over the vehicle it replaces. Priced at $49,490, the GT sit...
View ReviewIt has been our family car to take the kids to school and back and has been doing the grocery runs and pretty much whatever else you can imagine of an SUV this size. Usually, when we have a car for an extended period of time we begin to find little faults with it and things that annoy us. In the 3008’s case, the only thing that has somewhat gone wrong is the...
View ReviewThe mid-size SUV segment is the hottest one in Australia right now, as far as growth is concerned. While sales of regular passenger cars continue to gradually shrink, mid-strength SUVs are accelerating at a rate that’s ahead of most other vehicular segments in this country. Which is why Peugeot’s 3008 is so important for the French brand. The time is ripe fo...
View ReviewWe are very happy with our Peugeot 3008. Once you get used to things like the small steering wheel and the unique way to engage the auto transmission, it is a delight to drive. Very comfortable to ride in, excellent power and fuel economy. With things like the internal ambient lighting and the napper leather seats on our GTLine, it exudes class. There is suf...
