A large SUV that has plenty for all the family to like, the Nissan Pathfinder is a solid car that has earned plenty of acclaim over the years. You'll be impressed by the breadth and depth of the Pathfinder range, and of course, Nissan has a reputation for delivering exceptional cars with high reliability, something that is no different here. Of course this is one segment of the market crammed full of choice, but if frontrunners like Toyota and Mazda don't quite resonate, then the Pathfinder sure will, especially for off-road adventures.
Over the years, the Nissan Pathfinder has come in for some attention due to a number of issues related to the transmission. These have varied from model to model, and from generation to generation, with things like shuddering and jerking cited among the complaints. These issues have tended to have an impact on drive quality and ride comfort more so than break downs or repairs, however, it's still worth being aware of this potential gripe when compared with other large SUVs on the market.
