Find out the Nissan Navara 2020 price today!
Over the years the Nissan Navara has established itself as a reliable and dependable choice in the ute segment. This is a no-nonsense 'go anywhere' ute with enough grunt and power to withstand a tough life, so if you're looking for something a little more polished, cast your eyes elsewhere. But that's also what ensures this vehicle meets the needs of many who demand a run-around ute that can function as a true workhorse. Just keep in mind that many Nissan Navaras are subject to gruelling requirements and usage, so stick to buying new and be sure to look after it!
A battle of two giants, the Toyota HiLux and Nissan Navara are rightfully as good as you'll find in the ute segment, along with one or two other names. Inside the cabin both models offer a spacious and tidy layout, complete with a number of handy features and amenities. In terms of styling, the HiLux has a more muscular look that may appeal to some, whereas the Navara has more defined curves. The Navara edges ahead on-road where it has a more comfortable and poised feel, especially due to its multi suspension set-up with rear coil springs. Contrasting that, the HiLux with its leaf spring suspension can handle well with extra load in the tray, although sheer capacity goes to the Navara. The Navara is just as good if not better than the HiLux, but there is very little separating these two in the real world.
Across the Nissan Navara line-up you'll find two engines to choose from, both allowing power, acceleration and fuel efficiency to not only coexist, but thrive. The standout is the 2.3-litre twin turbo diesel engine that offers 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque, a real beast in the field and scoring top marks for guts and determination. There are some variants that utilise a 120kW single turbo diesel engine instead, optimising all the fortitude you'll need to tackle a hard day's work.
Spend any amount of time with the current Nissan Navara – especially in N-Trek Warrior guise – and it’s fair to say that Nissan’s dual-cab doesn’t get the respect it deserves. While there’s been plenty of positive response to the Warrior treatment, much of the fanfare still surrounds the Ranger, HiLux and now new to the segment D-Max and BT-50. In the case o...
View ReviewThe Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior is based on the D23 Navara dual-cab ute built in Thailand, with important local modifications applied to the suspension by automotive engineering company Premcar. From a group of local suppliers Premcar has also sourced better underbody protection (Frontline), a new hoopless colour-matched bullbar (EGR) and an integrated 470m...
View ReviewThe ST is the mid-spec D23 Navara and in auto 4x4 guise has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $51,250 – that’s a price increase of $1300 over the previous ST version. Our test vehicle has premium paint (polar white) which adds $650 to the price, so total MSRP for this vehicle is $51,900. For its new Navara ST, Nissan is offering a Black Styling...
View ReviewThe Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior is more than just a tough-looking ute, it’s a sign of the times. You can see our raging appetite for double-cab pick-ups just from sitting in traffic. But there is a new trend emerging. We’ve officially entered the era of the mega ute. While it is fair to say boys have been lifting the suspension and adding bullbars to their...
View ReviewThe ‘D23’ Nissan Navara has been given more running updates than most during its five years on sale. We’re up to the ‘Series 4’ model now, for those playing at home. On the one hand this suggests that its maker identified the flaws in its original product: heavy steering and rear suspension load-bearing chief among them. On the other it speaks volumes that N...
View ReviewWHAT you see here is the new Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior. The N-Trek Warrior is not to be confused with the bread-and-butter N-Trek, which is merely an exercise in styling. In contrast, the Warrior is an exercise in engineering, or more specifically chassis re-engineering by Premcar, the current embodiment of the Prodrive, Tickford and Ford Performance Vehi...
