In Brief...

Nissan Leaf Electric vehicles are yet to go mainstream, but the Nissan Leaf is striving to change the state of the market. It’s a car that has first mover advantage compared with some of the other pure electric models that are in a far-away price category. Unlike most electric models on the market, or currently in design, the Leaf sports a conservative design that won’t polarise buyers (or families) at the onset. The last version of the electric hatch was overlooked by many because of its limited driving range, however Nissan has now bumped this up to 270km. It’s a noticeable improvement, supporting the practicality of the car, which can be left to recharge overnight. The 2019 version of the Leaf also feels built to a higher standard, its added bulk making it feel rather sturdy, yet the 110kW and 320Nm on offer make for a smooth, zippy unit. One of the more novel inclusions is e-Pedal technology, allowing motorists to benefit from energy recuperation that occurs when you let off the accelerator and the car automatically begins to decelerate. Solid feedback is felt while steering and handling, while the cabin feels airy and boasts enough equipment, safety aids and clean lines to suggest the car fits in nicely at this price-point. Are you ready to be a part of the electric revolution?

The time has come to say farewell to our Nissan Leaf after nearly six months in the CarAdvice garage. There's plenty to like about electric vehicles too, even though the price is still a bit steep.

Remember the carbon tax? It was introduced in the same year the original Nissan LEAF battery-electric vehicle was launched in Australia. Seven years on and the second-generation LEAF has arrived; cleaner, greener and palpably improved. Seven years on Australia can’t say the same thing. The carbon tax is long gone and there’s been little cohesive movement on...

Nissan should rightly feel aggrieved that Tesla makes all the the headlines when it comes to electric cars. Since 2010, the Leaf has been wafting down the world's (mostly urban) roads under electric power. The company has sold 300,000 of them, making Nissan the global leader in electric vehicle sales. Nobody else has done this. Something else nobody has done...

Nissan Australia has confirmed a longer range variant of its Nissan Leaf electric car will join the local line-up in early 2021, with the incoming Leaf e+ set to offer buyers a bigger battery and more power.

Given the head start it enjoyed over its rivals, Nissan had the opportunity to move the game forward with the Leaf. Unfortunately, it chose not to.

Excellent speedy service and I would recommend price my car - David and his team steered me in the right direction and AMH Moruya were absolutely amazing and I am now the proud owner of a Kia Seltos

Perfect for what i needed to find out

Brilliant service that saved me hours of time and frustration. The answers i was looking for were instantaneous. My husband, who thinks he is a big shot car expert challenged me to see who got closest to the actual price of a bunch of different cars and he won. I liked the fact that i could compare a couple I had in mind.

Came across this site on computer

Came across this site on computer. Was in the market for a new car , so decided to fill in details to see what evolved. Already had one price from local dealer and an estimate for trade in. Was contacted by a dealer more than 100 kilometres away, offering almost $10,000 less than first offer, also offered $2,000 more for trade in. Result, a brand new car in the driveway. Also received $100 voucher for fuel. Will and have recommended this site to others.

    Pleasantly surprised

Pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to buy a new car through this site. Firstly it was easy to compare the make, model, and features of cars on their website. Obtaining a quote was very straightforward and the price was favourable. We saved $$$$’s in the purchase price. The collection of the car was mildly challenging having to brave the city traffic. The transaction was straightforward. The only improvement would be to the provision of better instruction on the features of the car on handover. We have received the fuel voucher which is an added bonus. If we ever had the opportunity to purchase a new car again, I doubt that we would do so through a car dealer but would definitely approach this car broker again.

What a great site and deal

What a great site and deal. I had been around a number of Dealers pricing the new car I wanted but none of them came even close to the price I got the car for through Price My Car. In fact I saved $3500.00 on the price the dealers were quoting me. Never thought I would buy a new car through an internet provider but so glad I gave it a go.

Never expected to buy my new car via an online enquiry . But, it works so well. I probably expected to use it as a starting point to visiting dealers and subjecting myself to their hard sell. However, when the dealers tell you they can't match the price and 'if it is genuine you should grab it' it is a game changer. Best price and so easy l would highly recommend that all new car buyers give Price my car a try. Thank you!
