• How much does the Mercedes EQA cost?

  Pricing for the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQA kicks off at $76,800, before on-road costs such as stamp duty, dealer delivery charges and registration. This is the pricing for the EQA 250 variant, while the upmarket EQA 250 Edition 1 is priced from $84,100, plus on-road costs. Like the rest of the company's line-up, the Mercedes-Benz EQA is built in Germany and shipped to Australia, with more variants likely to make their way to the market in due course.

• Is the EQA fully electric?

  The new Mercedes-Benz EQA is an all-electric SUV, and alongside the EQC, is one of Mercedes-Benz's first real forays into the electric format. Unlike the EQC, the EQA uses the one electric motor to drive the front wheels via a single-speed reduction gear automatic transmission. The result of that is that the EQA comes with 140kW of rated power and 375Nm of torque, and first-rate efficiency.

• What is the range of the Mercedes EQA?

  With a driving range of up to 400 kilometres, the Mercedes-Benz EQA offers a decent level of practicality and versatility for all sorts of long-distance trips. The EQA uses a single Type 2 CCS European-standard charging port, which is located at the driver's side rear. Through DC power, it can receive up to 100kW and charge up to 80% in as little as 30 minutes, while at AC locations the ability to accept up to 11kW means you can charge in a respectable 4.5 hours or there abouts.
