The original Mercedes-Benz A45 is no longer available, however, an AMG-inspired option is now available to new car buyers. This will set you back at least $94,100, plus on-road costs such as stamp duty, dealer delivery charges, government fees and registration. Keep in mind, this is for the 2.0-litre eight-speed AMG S 4Matic+ variant, while the previous A45 is a separate proposition altogether. For more info on that model, you'll need to scour the second-hand market.
The Mercedes-AMG A45 is considered one of the pre-eminent hot hatchbacks across the motoring industry. Not only is it blisteringly fast, but it is also one of the most dynamic and exciting cars that you could possibly come across. The A45 was the first performance car from Mercedes-AMG to feature a four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo engine and all-wheel drive combination, and as an alternative to rivals like the Audi RS3 Sportback, this unit offers everything and then some.
Thanks to the sizzling four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbo engine under the bonnet, the Mercedes-AMG A45 can pump out 500Nm or torque and 310kW of power. The A45 can go from 0-100 km/h in around 4 seconds, which is incredibly quick. You'll have to really stretch your budget a lot further if you're in the market for something quicker than the A45, which boasts leading performance in a competitive segment of the new car market.
With more horsepower and a tweaked chassis, Mercedes-AMG's stunning A45 performance hatch stuns again
