Find out the Jaguar E-Pace 2018 price today!
One look at the E-Pace name and it is easy to be mistaken in thinking that Jaguar's first compact SUV is an electric vehicle. However, as is the case when looks can be deceiving, here it is the name that may catch you off guard since the Jaguar E-Pace is not an electric vehicle. While available overseas as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), in the Australian new car market the E-Pace is sold with either a petrol or turbo-diesel engine.
If there is one resounding feature of the E-Pace, then it is the abundance of choice and diversity, all at a reasonable price-point. Here you have a luxury SUV that doesn't carry the burden of an expensive price-tag like many of its peers. It is a delightful SUV that embodies all the best of British automotive engineering, and a unit that is sure to instil a real feel-good factor into your day. As an alternative to compact SUVs from Audi or Volkswagen, the Jaguar E-Pace is a worthy option to consider.
Although both models can comfortably accommodate five people, not only is the F-Pace slightly larger in general, but it also has more space in the cargo hold. Perhaps the biggest distinction between the pair is their status and position in the Jaguar line-up, with the E-Pace considered a compact luxury SUV, while the F-Pace is instead a luxury performance SUV. The latter offers motorists a much more dynamic driving experience, and has a higher level of comfort, although the E-Pace is still a superb unit in its own right, at a more affordable price-point too.
The Jaguar E-Pace arrives as the marque's second only crack at the luxury SUV market. It should do well, given it's cleverly packaged with good dynamics and useful practicality.
View ReviewOnce upon a time Jaguar made only classically styled luxury saloons and the odd coupe and convertible aimed at well-heeled older men. Times have changed though and less than two years after launching its first SUV, the large F-PACE, Jaguar arrives in the booming mid-size premium SUV segment with its smaller E-PACE. That alone guarantees it will be popular, b...
View ReviewVery nicely. It’s fairly smooth and rides over the road like a car much bigger than it actually is - it’s higher than some of the other small SUVs which can still feel quite low, so it gives you that height perspective we all crave in our cars at the moment. It also means it kind of bounces over bumps, and makes for a fun ride if you like that kind of thing....
View ReviewWhat constitutes 'fashionably' late? The first BMW X1 lobbed in 2009, and the Mercedes-Benz GLA arrived in 2014, by which time the world's luxury carmakers were all working flat out to develop a compact SUV of their own. It took until July 2017, a whopping eight years after the X1 launched, for Jaguar to join the party. That's too long for the E-Pace to be c...
View ReviewIf you thought the ‘E’ in Jaguar E-Pace stood for electric power or some relation to the XE sedan, you’re wrong. The E-Pace, rather, comes from the Range Rover Evoque. And while that means its steel rich platform uses only turbo four cylinders and offers front-wheel drive, we thought the all-wheel drive P300 might be the jacked up hot hatch of the range. It...
