Find out the Infiniti QX70 2016 price today!
Struggling to penetrate the market and gain the sales that would make it more viable, Infiniti pulled the plug on the QX70 in 2017. The model never quite made a deep impression with local car buyers, overshadowed by more popular names in the luxury segment out of Europe. The company also decided that it would be in its best interests to divert its resources to a model that was selling better at the time, in the Infiniti QX50.
When you consider how much the QX70 had going in its favour, it is hard but not to feel as though we have been robbed of a great car. It offered great value when compared with other high-end makes of car like BMW, Audi, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz. The list of standard equipment was quite eye-popping, and the interior had an upmarket and premium feel. With good practicality and brawny engines, the QX70 crossover coupe was taken from us way too soon.
Sadly, no. It feels like it was only yesterday that we were saying goodbye to the QX70, but it was retired in 2017. However, Infiniti launched a replacement for the crossover coupe in 2022, introducing the QX55 as its successor. Of course, since Infiniti no longer has a presence in Australia, this is one vehicle we won't have the luxury of being able to try. Nonetheless, the QX55 upholds the impressive legacy of the QX70.
The Infiniti QX70 S Design is a crossover that turns heads. This special edition features dark exterior accents and purple stitching inside.
View ReviewWhen it comes to true crossovers, few could argue that the Infiniti QX70 fits under that banner. However, in a country full of people that can’t get enough of SUVs and crossovers, the QX70 has struggled to gain traction or popularity. The question is why? The special edition Infiniti QX70 S Design arrived in the CarAdvice garage and instantly attracted a lot...
