PMC Says...

Infiniti QX30
Sharing much of its genes with the Q30 crossover, and drawing on the influence of the Mercedes-Benz GLA, the QX30 is a compact SUV that looks to capitalise on its fantastic styling and safety. A large proportion of the body design is based on the Q30, with its splendour and grandeur underpinned by a drawn out front bonnet and reclining front windshield. With that said, the QX30 sits lower to the ground and has a few minor detailing quirks of its own. At the heart of the car is a four-cylinder 2L turbo petrol motor with peak capacity of 155kW and 350Nm. Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox, the pairing offer a solid and reliable showing on the road, albeit it is the finely weighted steering that is more likely to draw recognition. Like the engine, drivetrain and transmission, there are other influences from Mercedes-Benz inside the cabin, but Infiniti’s own touches shine through also. Leather trim is standard throughout, as is keyless operation, adaptive cruise control, powered memory seats, traffic sign recognition, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring and emergency braking. Throw in a respectable luggage hold and seven airbags, you’ll be very satisfied with the Infiniti QX30.

But the more mundane, mainstream Giulia isn’t what the red-blooded Alfisti want to know about. They want...
