Find out the Infiniti Q30 2016 price today!
The Q30 is a solid car, really setting the bar for quality and not just coming across as an overpriced Nissan. It is a premium unit right throughout, with refined dynamics, and an upmarket cabin with nice touches. Comfort is one of the strong points of the Q30, although if you want something with a little more space in the rear, or the boot for that matter, you have other options. Rounded out with an impressive safety package, and near best-in-class visibility of the road, the Q30 makes a lasting impression despite no longer being sold in Australia.
The Q30 was produced by Infiniti, which is the luxury marque of Japanese auto manufacturer Nissan. It was established in 1989, with the company's headquarters located in Yokohama, Japan. Although it may not have the big-name brand appeal as other high-end makes like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, among others, Infiniti is a top-tier luxury auto-maker. The Infiniti range has been produced in Japan and the UK, with the brand's vehicles exported to a number of markets around the world. Sadly, Australia is no longer one of those markets, with the brand withdrawing from the local car market in 2020. The Q30 leveraged the expertise and mechanical components of Mercedes-Benz, with the car based on the Mercedes A-Class.
The Q30 is no longer in production, with the company pulling the model from the UK and European markets at the end of model year 2019, which translated into model year 2020 for Australia. Just like the QX30, which was an adaptation of this model but designed as a higher-riding crossover, the Q30 was ultimately discontinued because it did not sell enough units. If you are lucky enough to find one on the second-hand market, make sure you inspect its condition closely. Also refer to the Personal Property Securities Register to ensure it hasn't been written-off and doesn't have finance still owing on it.
Infiniti Q30 1.6t GT Road Test This deceptively large hatch from Nissan’s prestige arm has all the hallmarks of a luxury car, but without the luxury brand to back it up. On the plus side, its elegant design is more attractive than the Mercedes-Benz it borrows much of its interior from and it’s a dream to drive – smooth, quiet and comfortable on the road. But...
View ReviewThe $44,900 Q30 Sport is the mid-level small crossover for Infinti. It sits above the entry-level $38,900 GT and below the range-topping Sport Premium, which retails for $52,900 before on-road costs. The Q30 Sport comes with a sports bodykit, 19-inch rims, leather-appointed trim, LED headlights, automatic emergency braking and a speed sign-sensing camera. Th...
View ReviewCrucial crossover signals fresh start/Not quite make or break, but mighty close. WHAT IS IT?It’s the brand-new Infinti Q30, a high-riding hatch that is the smallest, and also the cheapest, car ever made by Nissan’s premium arm. It’s built on Mercedes-Benz’s MFA small-car platform, so shares much of its running gear and interior switchgear with the Mercedes-B...
