Hyundai Santa Fe Now in its fourth generation, the Hyundai Santa Fe has become a mainstay of sorts for family commuting. Its elegant design is matched by a delightful interior featuring buckets worth of equipment and supreme levels of comfort. Incorporating an on-demand all-wheel drive system, this large SUV can adapt to the changing circumstances around it. Moreover, it’s stocked with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, auto headlights, hill-start assistance and fantastic smartphone integration. Both the 2.2L turbocharged diesel motor and 2.4L petrol engine perform exquisitely, commanding great on-road dynamics plus an engaging level of steering and traction. Elsewhere, Hyundai’s SmartSense active safety bundle is one of the most comprehensive going around, making it an ideal candidate for family driving. When you also scope out the depth and variety of materials inside the cabin, as well as the overall spaciousness and flexibility for rear seated occupants, the Santa Fe is a prodigious success in blending all the best bits of an SUV into one tidy package.

Hyundai Santa Fe Review

The Hyundai Santa Fe has had its biggest update since the current-generation model went on sale in 2018 – and it has coincided with price rises of up to $3500. The update is distinguished by a bold facelift and new wheel designs, but the big news is inside the cabin and under the bonnet. Key changes include advanced safety tech across the model line-up, a ne...

Don’t be fooled by the ‘facelift’ language in Hyundai’s own PR material: the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe marks a significant evolution of the breed. Introduced in Australian showrooms from this month, Hyundai’s evergreen seven-seat large SUV now resides on the same platform as the latest-generation Kia Sorento, offers new technologies and features and will soon be...

The 2021 update isn't immediately obvious. I related this story to my modest Twitter following. I went out one morning for a drive in my own car to check something number one son thought was happening. I passed the car on the driveway and noticed the Santa Fe - parked on the street - had a big scrape on the left-hand side of the bumper, as though one of us h...

If you still think of Hyundai as making cheap and cheerful small cars you need to catch up to the rest of Australia. The brand is now firmly established as our third favourite, behind Toyota and Mazda, as we continue to flock to the South Korean models - and away from the once dominant Ford and Holden. And its little wonder when you drive the all-new Santa F...

It’s not often a carmaker sells itself short, but Hyundai appears to have done just that. Although it bills the new Santa Fe as a mid-life refresh, there’s big changes under the skin. The engines have been overhauled, the interior has been redesigned, and the body is a not-insignificant 15mm longer and 10mm wider than before. Huh? Hyundai has lofty aspiratio...

The fourth-gen Hyundai Santa Fe seven-seat large SUV has received a mid-life update, which is when most cars get fresh bumpers and tail-light lenses. Perhaps some tech and equipment tweaks. Contrary to conventional wisdom, this Santa Fe iteration changes much of the stuff you can’t see and retains a lot of what you can. Inside and out, it looks like a compre...

I’m very happy with my 2021 Santa Fe. It is loaded with useful features and the finish provides a luxurious feel. It performs well, achieving 7.0 l/100km after 5600km on the clock with a mix of city and country driving. A beautiful car!

One quick click and I was put in touch with the dealership sales manager who provided excellent service. No need to talk to sales people who are not the decision makers in the dealership.
