Fresh into the market with a new appearance, the Hyundai iLoad is looking like a reborn van in 2019. Although the cosmetic changes are confined to the outside, they make it look modern and contemporary. Peer under the hood and you’ll find a workmanlike 2.5L turbo diesel engine that kicks into gear straight away. Unlike other turbo motors, here there’s no delay in acceleration to worry about, so you can hold to heart that you won’t be caught sitting flat in any tricky situations. The iLoad doesn’t feel like your standard commercial van either, since it is defined by solid handling. But it is built with some toughness - something that goes towards accounting for the 441Nm of torque. In the back, over 1 tonne payload capacity and 1500kg braked towing capacity will prove useful. There’s also huge space for cargo goods, and weight distribution over the suspension is articulated perfectly.
